Six Degrees.org, the philanthropy headed by Kevin Bacon, partnered Rain, the Growth Agency with GlamourGals, an organization dedicated to fostering compassionate teen leaders and ending elder loneliness. GlamourGals organizes groups of high school and college-age women to visit the residents of retirement communities, giving them manicures, makeovers, and much-needed conversation.
Our mission: to recruit more young volunteers.
Bottom line, we wanted to make GlamourGals seem fun, where girls could hang out with their friends and make new ones, as well as do something good in the world. We spoke to them where they were at: in posters and on social media, in a bold, Barbie-pink scrapbook style using photos from the volunteers themselves.
